A Family History
Back in 1958, when California was covered in orange groves and eucalyptus trees, our founder, Herb Olson, had a vision for a service company.
Fast forward more than 60 years, and the bugman is still a locally-owned and family-operated pest control business providing exceptional service to our community. Meet the group of people that make the wheels of the bugman bus go 'round, day after day. We are as dedicated to one another just as much as we are dedicated to our customers!
Brian Olson
President/CEO
Team Member since 1983
Brian was born and raised in Southern California and has been a part of the bugman team since 1983. He’s always had a passion for entrepreneurship, and before joining his family at the bugman he owned a window washing business as well as a video game business! Brian sets the vision for the bugman and enjoys developing his team members and seeing their customers grow.
Peter Andress
General Manager
Team Member since 2018
As the General Manager, Peter oversees the daily operations of the services provided at the bugman. His favorite thing about working at the bugman is seeing the way the team works together to solve customer issues.
Linzi Olson
Director of Human Resources
Team Member since 2017
As the Director of Human Resources, Linzi works closely on the recruiting and hiring processes. She is usually the first person potential team members come in contact with, then works alongside them throughout their interview and into employment, ensuring their well-being as members of the team. Linzi enjoys the people she works with as well as onboarding new, like-minded people into their family on a regular basis.
Brett Olson
Accounting Manager
Team Member since 2022
Brett has always been an unofficial member of the team as the son of the President and CEO, Brian. However, he officially joined the team as the Accounting Manager in 2022. In his role, Brett's favorite thing about working at the bugman is the people he works with and the team's willingness to help customers. Outside of the office, Brett enjoys traveling and surfing. Fun fact, he's traveled to over 11 different countries!
Laraine Porras
Staff Accountant
Team Member since 2006
Born and raised in California, Laraine joined the bugman family in 2006. As the Accounting Manager, she’s responsible for the financial data of the company. Her favorite thing about working at the bugman is that she considers them to be a family working towards a common goal.
Tony Reeves
Sales Training Manager
Team Member since 1994
As the Sales Training Manager, Tony oversees the daily activities of the bugman’s sales staff as well as conducts field inspections and sells the various services offered by the bugman Termite & Pest Control. His favorite part about working at the bugman is their old school values in the way they deliver service to their customers.
